Fresh Cinnamon Festival at Seenigama Devola

Cinnamon growers from the region celebrated the Fresh Cinnamon Festival at the Seenigama Devola temple, where they offered the newly harvested cinnamon to the gods. The event was organized under the leadership of Hon. Daya Gamage, Minister of Primary Industries, with the collaboration of the Ministry of Primary Industries, the Department of Export Agriculture, and the Galle District Cinnamon Growers' Association.

The festival highlighted the importance of cinnamon cultivation as a vital industry for the region, and it was marked by a ceremonial procession and offerings to the deities, symbolizing the harvest season and honoring the sacred tradition.
