UNP’s 2016 May Day Rally Draws Massive Crowd in Colombo
Colombo, May 1, 2016 — The United National Party (UNP) held its annual May Day rally in Colombo with a large turnout of supporters from across the country.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, the party leader, along with Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa and other senior party members. The rally featured a vibrant parade, speeches highlighting the government’s vision for economic growth, workers’ rights, and social development, as well as calls for unity and progress.
As the official photographer, I documented the energy and enthusiasm of the crowd, the powerful speeches, and the symbolic displays that made the 2016 May Day rally a memorable event in Sri Lanka’s political calendar.
