Sri Lanka As an official Ministry photographer, I had the privilege of documenting the cultural and diplomatic visit of Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, to the Anuradhapura Ancient City on March 15, 2016. The visit included Sri Lanka’s most revered Buddhist and historical landmarks: Ruwanweli Maha Seya Sadakadapahana Samadhi Buddha Statue Isurumuniya Temple, featuring the iconic Isurumuniya Lovers sculpture This series reflects a powerful moment of shared spiritual heritage between Sri Lanka and Thailand, highlighting Buddhist diplomacy, cross-cultural respect, and the timeless beauty of Anuradhapura.
