D.S. Senanayake College (Donz) held off a spirited second-half comeback by Sri Sumangala College, Kandy, to secure a hard-fought 26–19 victory in their second-round Plate Segment fixture of the Dialog Schools Rugby League 2025 at Pallekele.

The Colombo boys looked dominant in the first half, racing to a 21–7 lead with sharp attacking play and well-executed tries. However, the second half told a different story, as Sumangala College stormed back with back-to-back tries, closing the gap to 19–21, setting the stage for a tense final stretch.
