Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe Visits Wax Museum in Kandy

Kandy, July 20, 2025 — Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe paid a visit to the newly established Wax Museum in Kandy yesterday.

During his visit, Mr. Wickremesinghe was given a guided tour of the exhibits, which showcase lifelike wax figures representing historical and cultural figures of Sri Lanka. Among the key highlights was a detailed display featuring significant moments in Buddhist history.

The museum aims to promote cultural heritage and tourism in the central region of the country. Several local officials and museum staff were present during the visit.

Mr. Wickremesinghe praised the efforts of the creators for preserving Sri Lanka’s heritage through innovative and educational means.
