Vettai Thiruvila 2025: Lord Murugan’s Divine Hunt in Nallur

Jaffna, August 19, 2025 – Amid the 25-day Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil Festival, one of Sri Lanka’s most sacred Hindu celebrations, thousands of devotees filled the streets of Nallur to witness the spectacular Vettai Thiruvila—a vivid re-enactment of Lord Murugan’s divine hunt and triumph over darkness.
